Sustainability
Our future is defined by what we do, every day – so what are we doing to make our business as sustainable as possible?
Simply put – we’ve designed sustainability into everything we do.
3d printing allows us significant environmental benefits over traditional manufacturing.
Our materials
We source our materials from well known, quality suppliers.
PLA – plant-based bioplastic. It is derived from corn starch, and can be composted in the correct conditions.
PET – the most recycled plastic in the world. We use this for outdoor grade items and structural components, it can be recycled at the kerbside.
We endeavour to use recycled materials where possible.
Minimal stock levels
99% of everything we print is printed to order – so we don’t have a warehouse space, our buidling footprint is the smallest it can be, and will remain so.
Solar power
We try to maximise the use of our 4kW solar system by printing mostly during the day. Where this isn’t possible due to weather or low light, we source our electricity from sustainable suppliers.
Low CO2 delivery
We use Royal Mail for 99% of our deliveries. Royal Mail claim to be the lowest CO2 delivery provider, so we are delighted to use their services.
Longevity
Most of our products are purchased as gifts to be treasured for a long time. If they are used the correct environment, they will last many years.
Machinery
Our machinery is well maintained, increasing it's usable life and ensuring that the footprint is kept low.
Our responsibility is to craft new ways to make our business, and our products, even more sustainable.
